Ungana-Afrika
is part of several independent support and consulting efforts in
Africa and globally. These projects may include focused trainings,
research
and workshop facilitations. Additionally, Ungana-Afrika can provide
capacity-building, piloting/testing and roll-out support for new
technologies that are relevant to the development community and service
providers.

and often include a variety of spin-off benefits for the general

- Mobile Tech -
Participation in UNICEF-Driven Rapid Assessment (Completed/Case). Development
of technology considerations framework and an assessment of
three case studies as a part of a rapid assessment of mobile
technologies for development, specifically in HIV/AIDS treatment, care
and prevention.
- Health Toolkit
Field Research (Completed/Case) Assisting
EngenderHealth to research the information management needs
of community based health care organisations in Southern Africa.
- Training and
Workshop Facilitations (Ongoing). Trainings
and workshops related to topics such as secure online
communications, wireless networking, strategic technology planning,
etc.
- Projects
Supporting the Development and Rollout of Technology Applications
(Ongoing).
Ungana-Afrika's expertise has been used to test, evaluate, and pilot on
the ground different technology applications to ensure that these
applications are designed to meet the needs of the on-the-ground
development community, and the challenges and requirements the African
continent have been kept in mind.
