The Finnish Government
Finland has a wide bilateral development co-operation program with South Africa. SMME-development, education- and environmental sectors have been defined as core areas for the bilateral co-operation. NGO's promoting democracy and human rights are supported by the embassy administered Local Co-operation Fund.
Ungana-Afrika has received financial support from the co-operation fund in South Africa for a number of ICT capacity building and consulting projects since early 2004. In addition, Ungana-Afrika has worked closely with the embassy of Finland in Mozambique, where a joint project with a local partner was implemented and supported by the local co-operation fund in Mozambique.
