Business Planning Workshop

Business Planning WorkshopA business plan can serve a guide and communication tool that provides details of how a social enterprise intends to implement its initiative. Starting with an enterprise model can however be an invaluable step to developing a well thought out, practical business plan. In order help it's partners from four countries in the Southern African region, Ungana-Afrika hosted a business planning workshop, supported by Hivos and OSISA, in Pretoria on 9th - 10th December 2010.

During the two day workshop, participants gained an understanding of the process of taking an idea to sustainable implementation. They were also introduced to tools to develop a business plan framework for their initiatives. The links greated during the workshop have established a platform for in-country partners to share experiences around their initiatives. Prior to the workshop, Ungana-Afrika helped it's partners develop enterprise models for their initiatives. Ungana-Afrika partners in the region are CECS Namibia, EKOWISA and Kubatana both from Zimbabwe, Rescue Mission Zambia and YAAICT-D from Malawi.
