In its Participatory Entrepreneurship Development (PED) project Ungana-Afrika facilitates needs based and participatory development of business cases. These business cases provide entrepreneurship opportunities for potential social entrepreneurs from the Base of the Pyramid.

Goals and objectives
Short term goals:
- Co-develop business cases which can be incubated or integrated into viable social enterprises that serve the community and its needs
- Contribute to the development of positive momentum for social entrepreneurship by raising awareness of the concept and its potential
- Spur BoP innovation by stimulating creative processes
- Stimulate enterprise creation in disadvantaged areas
Long term goals:

Increase the number of job opportunities in areas where unemployment rates easily surpass 25%

Stimulate the development of socially beneficial products and services
- Share findings of new processes developed and viable business cases identified with other interested parties (potential entrepreneurs, start-ups, research institutes, established companies, NGOs, governmental bodies, etc.)
We are looking for partners that are interested in:
- Providing additional business support to our entrerpeneurs - ranging from legal advice and mentorship, to providing finance
- Needs assessment
- Sharing sound participatory methods
- Providing funding to expand the scope of the project
- Social entrepreneurship development
- Access to our results
- Other aspects of this project
