Development Tools Credits
Ungana-afrika.org was originally developed
with proprietary tools, such as Dreamweaver
and Photoshop.
However, due to our open content and open source
philosophies, this site is now completely managed and updated with open
source tools including:
- NVU.
A cross-platform web authoring solution (Dreameweaver substitute)
- Gimp.
The GNU Image Manipulation Program is a cross-platform photo
retouching,
image composition and image authoring tool (Photoshop substitute)
- OpenOffice.
The cross-platform office suite. Used to develop all down-loadable
documents and several site graphics and charts.
- jEdit.
A cross-platform programmers text editor. Used for direct code
manipulation.
