Soros Foundations have supported core Ungana-Afrika operations or
specific projects, including the Open Society Initiative for Southern
Africa (OSISA), the Open Society Initiative for West Africa (OSIWA),
the Open Society Foundation of South Africa (OSF) and the Open Society
Institute (OSI).

Founding Organisations:
Ungana-Afrika was founded
as a project partnership between OSISA and AIESEC before
registering as an independent non-profit organisation in
early 2004 (read more about our History):
OSISA (Open Society
Initiative for Southern Africa) is a nonprofit foundation
within the global Open Society Network that was established
by George Soros. OSISA supports projects in education, human
rights, civil society, media, ICT, etc. OSISA is Ungana-Afrika's
primary funder.
AIESEC is the world’s
largest student organisation. AIESEC provides highly skilled
and internationally diverse human resources to companies
and initiatives worldwide. AIESEC supplies Ungana-Afrika
with numerous service provisions and localized human resource
services.
