Exciting days for Ungana-Afrika's Participatory Entrepreneurship Development project

Coming Saturday (22 January 2011) Ungana-Afrika's Participatory Entrepreneurship Development (PED) project kicks off with its first workshop. In this project Ungana-Afrika assists people who live in disadvantaged communities, but who have plenty of entrepreneurial aspiration and energy, in performing local participatory ICT (Information and Communication Technology) needs assessment, and in the development of business ideas based on identified community needs.

Village Operator Feasibility Framework released under Creative Commons licence

mobile phoneUngana-Afrika and the Meraka Institute of the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) have released the Village Operator Feasibility Framework under a Creative Commons Licence. The Feasibility Framework presents a methodology for evaluating whether a rural ICT entrepreneur (or Village Operator) can be viable at a given site.
